What does the 0–100 score actually mean?
It's an estimate of chemical-exposure potential — how concerning a product's ingredients, packaging, and processing are based on published hazard data. Higher means more potential concern. It's not a measurement of contamination in your specific item — unless the product is lab-tested, in which case Unpaq shows real measured values (ng/serving, % of tolerable daily intake).
What can I scan?
Barcodes on food, cosmetics, cleaning products, and packaging; photos of product labels; and links from most online stores including Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Shopify sites. Barcode and link scans work instantly on-device; photos use our AI label reader.
Where does the hazard data come from?
Published sources only: EPA CompTox, California Prop 65, EU REACH SVHC, EFSA tolerable daily intakes, IARC, and independent lab datasets. Every flag in a report links back to its source — we never score behind a black box.

How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?
Subscriptions are managed through your app store. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Unpaq → Cancel. On Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Unpaq → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Does Unpaq sell my scan history?
No. Scan reports are stored on your device, and anything synced is tied to a hashed device ID — never your name or email. We don't sell data, period.
